View Larger The air around us was pretty thick. But in the twilight, after supper, we strolled up to an overlook, where we could watch the light fade behind mile-high mountains. Vast stretches of pure air swept far across the valley, to a line of clouds hovering above the distant Nass River. The only sounds were wind, water, and birdcalls. No lights were visible other than the evening star.
